The Republican Unitary Enterprise “Production Association “Belorusneft” is the leading oil enterprise in the Republic of Belarus working in petroleum production over 40 years.

Pre-implementation situation

“Belorusneft” is an enterprise with a complex structure. It comprises 25 separate subdivisions (departments, institutes and foreign representative offices), as well as 11 affiliate companies. Taking into consideration such distributed structure and geographical spread, implementation of specialized products for simple and complex business process and electronic content management became a necessity.

  • unjustified time spent on reconciling documents between enterprises and divisions;
  • large volumes of paper documents;
  • failure to perform assigned tasks and control complexity;
  • a long search for the necessary information, letters, documents;
  • loss of important documents and others.

One important distinctive feature of the enterprise infrastructure lied in the fact that a set of SAP ERP modules was implemented at the enterprise at the same time as the business process management system based on DIRECTUM Bel platform. Therefore, an idea of integrating these solutions in various aspects emerged. First of all, it was decided to integrate them in reference information (addressing SAP Master Data Management solution, which gives the possibility of reference book keeping), and, secondly, to coordinate them in purchase agreements, which were formed in SAP purchase management module.


The ECM platform of the Russian manufacturer DIRECTUM was chosen as the basic solution with customized and adaptation for the business processes and local legislation.
The main tasks of the project were:

  • Implementation of an automated e-docflow systemin the Head Office
  • Scaling solution to all geographically distributed structures
  • Ensuring the interaction between e-doclow and ERP-system (SAP)
  • Implementation of digital signature of documents


  • In 4 - 6 times less time spent on finding the right document.
  • 30% less incidents of loss of documents
  • Document reconciliation process is 3 times faster
  • A single information field has been provided to optimize the process of planning and managing meetings, events and monitoring the whole process.
